It all began…
In 1999, three guys worked together at a company called Brainstorm , a web development company at that time.
- Their names: Josh, Josh and Joel.
- Their office: A converted broom closet.
- Their chairs: Paint buckets.
In 2004, Brainstorm executives decided to drop website development in order to focus on being an internet provider. Brainstorm sold the web development department to the three “J’s” – Josh Potter, Josh Tischer and Joel Richards.
J3media, Inc was born in 2005. Its original digs were not much more impressive than the broom closet - 200sf above a coffee shop. But the dream came to life and since then, we’ve been employee-owned and operated in Durango, Colorado.
These days...
We have a team of dedicated professionals whose names all start with the letter “J”... sometimes it’s a silent “J”. But seriously, through changing times, technologies, and economies, the committed crew of J3media continues to forge the way for growth. We have a solid process, we’ve got an amazing team and we serve many clients from our home in the historic Smiley Building.
