Domain Name Warning!

Several of our clients have called us over the past few months regarding a letter from Domain Registry of America (DROA). The letter (see below) encourages you to renew your domain name to avoid "loss of your online identity". The trouble is not one client we have spoken to purchased their domain through DROA. In fact, many have purchased their domain name through us at J3.  In the letter, DROA is soliciting you to transfer your domain and if you do, you may lose some control over your domain name as well as likely pay more money for renewals and ownership.

If you have purchased your domain name through J3, we will notify you directly when it is time to renew and take care of the process for you. If you purchased your own domain name, your registrar (e.g. GoDaddy, Network Solutions, Dot Easy, etc.) will notify you.

Please feel free to contact us any time you have any questions related to your domain name, hosting, or anything else regarding your website.

Here is an image of the letter one of our client's received so you can read some of the questionable wording and know what to look for if you receive a similar notification.
